Deep Six Books
Six men. One sunken Spanish galleon. Millions in gold and silver coins lying on the ocean floor. And a past that refuses to let the guys of Deep Six Salvage forget the Navy SEAL motto: the only easy day was yesterday…
A COVERT MISSION…
Maddy Powers’s life revolves around cocktail parties, political fundraisers, and charity events – but she can’t forget the daring former SEAL who appropriated her father’s yacht a few months ago … or the scorching kiss they shared before he disappeared into the deep blue sea.
SPARKS A FLAMING DESIRE…
Bran Pallidino carries a dark secret behind his lady-killer eyes – one that keeps him from pursuing a serious relationship with Maddy. But when she’s taken hostage during a trip to the Dry Tortugas, the men of Deep Six Salvage drop their treasure hunt for a sunken galleon and embark on a dangerous mission to save Maddy.
WITH EARTH-SHATTERING REPERCUSSIONS.
As they fight her merciless kidnappers, they discover this isn’t a simple hostage situation, but something far more sinister. Passion boils between Bran and Maddy, but what good is putting their hearts on the line if they don’t survive the dawn?
Devil and the Deep is book #2 in the Deep Six series and once again, I am blown away by this author's written words, another fabulous story from Julie Ann Walker!
In Devil and the Deep we are brought back into the world of former/retired (once a SEAL always a SEAL) Navy SEALs and the deep six salvage company they formed to find a sunken ship full of treasure. Specifically this is Bran & Maddy's story. We met Maddy in book#1, Hell or High Water, and now learn that she has continued to keep in touch with Bran through emails & phone calls. Maddy is visiting a nearby island and wants Bran to come & see her. There is an attempted kidnapping of Maddy, Bran and the rest of the crew come to her rescue. Things heat up between them but there is definitely something holding Bran back. Devil and the Deep is a wonderfully exciting book that totally immerses you in the story and makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. Julie Ann Walker writes a fantastic tale full of sexy alpha dudes, hot action, and edge of your seat thrills.
Brave… Once again the word whispered through his head. Because contrary to what some people believed, bravery wasn’t about not being afraid to do something. It was about being afraid to do something and still doing it anyway. He would not have thought it was possible for his estimation of Maddy to grow any more. But right then and there, it did. Madison Marie Powers, oil heiress, philanthropist, Texas tornado disguised in a tiny teacup package, was one of the most courageous individuals he’d ever met. Which was saying something considering he’d made a career of working with the bravest sonsofbitches on the planet. And then something else occurred to him. It wasn’t just his estimation of her that had grown, so had his feelings. What he’d thought were simple lust and like abruptly felt bigger. Wider. Deeper. More. So, so much more…
