Naughty New Years Blog Hop

Happy 2013!

The new year always brings on discussions about resolutions. Whether it's around the water cooler at work or while you're having cocktails with your friends, most people vow to lose weight, quit smoking, or some such vow that is always broken by January 20th.

In light of the tragedy on 12/14 in Connecticut and because of a huge health scare earlier this year with my Mom I decided this year to go about it a bit different.

I am going to vow to be a better person for my family! Be a better Mom to my children, a better wife to my husband, a better daughter to my Mom, and a better sister to my other siblings.

These days families seem to just grow apart and my family is no different. We all have our busy hectic lives, but that shouldn't mean we can't make the time to get together or even just check in with each other. I vow to change all of that. It is family that makes us who we are, It is family that should always be by your side no matter the circumstances.

Ok, enough of me on my soapbox!
I truly hope you are able to stick to whatever your resolution may be this year.

Tart

Juliet Lamprey is having the time of her life running her successful bakery, TART, when Gideon Carter comes back into her life. Returning home to help his grandfather run the family farm, Gideon is back for good. When they meet again, the spark between them is immediate, and it isn’t long before the former childhood friends play catch up—in bed.

That’s not good news for local lawyer Cal Whaley. Though the sexually open but strictly monogamous Cal has loved Jules for a long time, he’s hardly ever taken it further than friendship. When he sees her start to fall for Gideon, he knows he has to make his move or risk losing her forever.

Who would have anticipated that all three of them would connect on such an intimate level? The trio’s scalding liaisons take them places they’ve never dreamed. But such an intensely passionate and unusual relationship comes with equally as complicated emotions, and when Jules must suddenly leave town, she wonders if she’ll have a choice to make when she returns…

  2. Mine haven't been unusual--just the same! Usually something like "lose X amount of weight" or "get healthy". But this year I am making shorter term goals, cause I suck at setting (and accomplishing) long term goals! Hopefully I have better luck this way! Happy New Year!

  3. I've never made an unusual resolution that I can think of. I decided about 10 years ago to stop making resolutions because it seemed like I was doomed to break them! When I make a decision to change something, it has to be based on more than New Years!
Thanks for the giveaway and Happy New 2013 :)

  29. The year I resolved to keep a clothing diary. I was thirteen or fourteen and it was pre fashion blogger days (thank goodness! I'm so happy there are no pics of some outfits. Stylish for the time but ridiculous now). I managed to keep it up sporadically for a few months and it provides endless amusement when I run across it in my memento trunk.
