Wild Zone: Rough Riders #4 by Skye Jordan ~ Review

Wild Zone
Rough Riders #4
by Skye Jordan

Tate “The Saint” Donovan's jaded outlook really makes him more of a devil's advocate. Ever since he discovered his ex-wife doing more in their bedroom than rooting for the home team, he’s given up on finding The One. In fact, he's given up on finding Any One. So he isn't surprised when his teammate’s engagement party is one mishap away from going up in flames—until a sexy, free spirit whisks in from Paris and drags the party from the fire. She’s whimsical, wild, and oh so wrong, but her breezy, freestyle attitude makes her utterly irresistible. Tate’s halo slips. He takes a walk on the wild side. And discovers wrong has never felt so right.

With big plans on the horizon, Olivia’s laissez faire attitude toward men is a perfect pairing. She’s drawn to Tate’s wounded soul, and the protective warrior beneath his brooding mask intrigues her…right into bed. Olivia quickly realizes the possessive passion he brings to the bedroom is like nothing she’s ever experienced, and her feelings for Tate turns her take-it-or-leave-it style love life on its head.

With her return to Paris imminent and his grueling hockey season approaching, Olivia and Tate must face the possibility that they are destined to be nothing more than star-crossed lovers.

Review:

Wild Zone can be read as a stand-alone book - but I prefer the entire series which has been fabulous. Now that being said, it was about time that Tate got down & dirty....If you have been reading this series all along you met Tate Donovan in the very first book and just knew he had to get his HEA. With all the crap he put up with from his ex...he deserved to be happy!

I loved Tate & Olivia, they both had their lives almost destroyed by those closest to them...but in completely different ways. This made them both very vulnerable to love and commitment. I liked how they both took chances and opened up about their pasts with each other. Now of course, you know, there has to be conflict, and the conflict they come up against was resolved almost immediately by giving of each other. I loved how Tate could have just thrown his money around to try and solve some of the problem but was smart enough to know better (yes, this was the first thing I thought of when I saw the conflict coming) This couple had me cheering them on from the very beginning to the very end!

Thank you Skye Jordan for another fantastic book & series!!!!

Skye’s New York Times bestselling novels are all about enjoying that little wild streak we all have, but probably don’t let out often enough. About those fantasies we usually don’t get the opportunity to indulge. About stretching limits, checking out the dark side, playing naughty and maybe even acting a little wicked. They’re about escape and fun and pleasure and romance. And, yes, even love, because Skye is ultimately a romantic at heart and a happily ever after kinda gal. Skye also writes romantic suspense as Joan Swan, weaving fast paced novels of passion, danger and suspense. Skye is a California native recently transplanted to the East Coast and living in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside Washington DC with her husband of 25 years. She has two grown daughters in college in Colorado and Oregon. In her free time she loves rowing on the Potomac. She's always learning, attending courses and seminars in art and history and cooking.
